Welcome to Thermal Vet, your online resource for infrared technology and it's multiple uses in the Veterinarian field. We have a large selection of Infrared thermal images, commonly known as thermograms. Thermal Imaging is a useful tool for Veterinarians to inexpensively find thermal abnormalities. These abnormalities can show muscle stress, fractures, infections, and other problem areas not easily noticed in visible light waves. With the use of a tool called an infrared camera, or thermal imaging camera, a trained veterinarian can help diagnose and treat a slew of animal ailments. Commonly used in horse racing, infrared cameras are now a relatively inexpensive tool that can yield accurate results. By using infrared cameras, veterinarians may be able to forgo more expensive methods of imaging as well as help diagnose a potential problem before it has a chance to escalate.

In veterinary medicine, as in complimentary human medical disciplines, it is often difficult to make the proper diagnosis because of factors such as changing symptoms or the lack of diagnostically recognizable symptoms. The search for answers in such situations, coupled with the patient’s inability to communicate, is often frustrating to the veterinarian and costly to the client. The result is that such elusive problems frequently go undiagnosed for long periods of time.
